What MTD for VAT means

Making Tax Digital for VAT has been mandatory since April 2022 for all VAT-registered businesses. You must use HMRC-recognised software to keep digital records and submit VAT returns directly to HMRC.

Spreadsheets alone no longer comply — you need software with a direct API connection to HMRC. QuickEasyTax is HMRC-recognised and connects directly to the MTD VAT API.
